The Queues page

How the Queues page organizes claims into work queues, and which queues need action from your team.

Written by Nanda Guntupalli

The Queues page shows every work queue your claims move through — what Taiga is actively working, what's waiting on your team, and what's been snoozed on purpose. Each queue groups claims that share the same next step, with a short description of why they're there.

Finding your way around

Queues are organized under tabs by stage:

  • Coding — claims that need coding work or review before they can move.

  • Pre-Submission — claims held before submission (validation errors, missing information, eligibility problems).

  • Rejections — claims a payer or clearinghouse rejected before adjudication.

  • Denials — claims a payer denied, grouped by payer family.

  • Stale Claims — claims that haven't heard back from the payer in an unusually long time.

  • Other Post-Submission — everything else after submission, like appeals in progress.

Each tab shows its total claim count, and the page opens on the first tab with work in it. Every queue is listed — including ones that are currently empty — so you always see the full picture; flip on Hide empty queues to collapse the list to just the queues with claims. The search box finds a queue by name across all tabs.

Reading a queue's row

Each queue shows how many claims it contains and the total claim balance tied up in it, then — most importantly — who the ball is with:

  • Taiga review — claims our team is working; nothing needed from you.

  • Clinic action — claims waiting on something from your team.

  • Snoozed claims / balance — claims intentionally parked (for example, while an appeal is pending). Snoozed claims count toward the queue's totals but not toward either action column.

Inside a queue

Click a queue to see the claims inside it. The header shows the queue's totals at a glance — balance, average days since the date of service, and the action counts — and the Active and Snoozed tabs split the claims that are being worked from the ones that are parked. You can search within the queue by claim ID, patient name, member ID, or date of birth, and click through to any claim for full detail.

What to do here

Check the Clinic action column. If it's zero everywhere, there's nothing for your team to do — Taiga is on it. When a queue shows clinic actions, open it to see what's needed (usually missing information or a decision only your practice can make). Resolving those unblocks the claims for submission or resubmission.
